Convection heaters are indirect fired and remove some of the associated problems that can be experienced when transferring heat by way of other radiant heat transfer methods. For applications where temperature sensitivity becomes an important factor in selecting the appropriate type of heater, a convection heater utilises a completely separate chamber, thereby minimising sensitivity. This also acts to reduce combustion chamber effects and the consequences of radiant heat transfer to the process coil. Operating efficiencies of up to 90% can be achieved by these types of heaters. Flaretec can design and fabricate heaters which can be fully automated and therefore require minimal Process Operator involvement during their operating lifecycle.
The range of heaters that Flaretec design can provide a bare tube radiant section which can then be combined with a finned or bare tube convection section. Our heaters can be used with entities including viscous hydrocarbons, gas mixtures and media with entrained/suspended solids.
